Barre Select Board Completes Three-Candidate Town Administrator Interview Process
BARRE — June 12, 2017 — Barre Select Board wraps up town administrator finalist interviews, schedules deliberation for June 15. The board, chaired by Dr. Maureen Marshall, conducted its third and final interview Monday with a Barre resident who described experience managing a roughly $7.5 million nonprofit program, securing state and grant funding, and working in the Massachusetts State House. The search has run since late January. The board scheduled a follow-up session for Thursday, June 15 at 6:15 p.m., with a possible executive session to weigh finalists on contract matters. Separately, the board learned its IT staff person had given notice effective around the end of June, and that the town of Rutland — a regional dispatch and IT partner — had signaled it may pursue its own vendor arrangement, potentially ending the shared IT agreement with Barre.
